Teachers’ Symposium of 2019 Step to SWUPL Summer Camp Program &The Short-Term Chinese Language Training Program Was Held
At 4 p.m. on April 4th, teachers' symposium of 2019 "Step to SWUPL" Summer Camp Program &The short-term Chinese Language Training Program was held in the meeting room on the third floor of Qin Ye Building. Qin Jie, Dean of School of International Education, Viharn Spihaphol, President of Assumption Commercial College, Jin Mei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of School of Economic, Chen Nanjin, Counsellor of School of Economic, Zou Dan, a teacher of School of International Education, teacher representatives from nine colleges of Thailand and five international student representatives attended the symposium. Qin Jie hosted the symposium.
At the beginning of the symposium, Dean Qin introduced to foreign representatives teacher representatives of SWUPL and Zhao Binbin as well as four other students who won "2018 SWUPL Outstanding Students". Then Dean Qin distributed international Study Brochure of SWUPL to attendees and made a detailed introduction about overseas study programs.
Chen Nanjin, Counsellor of School of Economic, said many international students chose to study the major of International Economics and Trade Finance, which is jointly managed by School of International Education and School of Economic. Chen gave positive comments to international students’ daily study and life. Chen praised that they could fit well in their classes and successfully completed their education.
Representatives of international students expressed their gratitude to SWUPL and the help offered by teachers and students in SWUPL. Among them, Li Jinlong cited a vivid example that students needed to nab seats to study in the library, which showed excellent academic atmosphere in SWUPL.
Mr.Shulepite from Prince Royal's College and other teacher representatives asked some key questions on requirements for admission, the criteria for preparatory student scholarship and its amount, related tuition fees, accommodation expenses and so on. Teacher representatives of SWUPL answered these questions one by one.
In the end, Viharn Spihaphol, President of Assumption Commercial College, encouraged students to study hard by quoting a saying "There's no such thing as a free lunch." Also, he said he was happy that students of Assumption Commercial College could have such great opportunities. Qin Jie, Dean of School of International Education, responded that A nation will prosper only when its young people thrive. What the attendees did was the most meaningful things for the country and the world. She also hoped we could continue to do better through concerted efforts.
